Jeffree Star的好朋友，Peaches乐队的鼓手鼓励他创作自己的音乐。他作为一名电子乐和嘻哈歌手开始了他的音乐事业。
Jeffree Star在2005年为Hollywood Undead乐队录制了一首歌”Turn off the Lights“，也参加了Aiden的2007音乐视频”One Love“的创作。
2007年夏天，Jeffree横贯美国加拿大15座城市，为Ture Color Tour 广告代言。此次旅行由LGBT logo频道主办，从07年6月8号开始，和LGBT的Pride Month活动时间相应。
Jeffree Star要求MySpace的创始人Tom将他在MySpace上的个人主页重新设计成为了一个音乐网页，他可以在上面随时发布自己的音乐作品。
Jeffree Star的第一、二支音乐作品是“Straight Boys”、“We Want Cunt”。2007年3月13日，Jeffree Star发行了自己第一张EP（单曲专辑）：Plastic Surgery Slumber Party。几乎是在同时，在2007年3月20日，这支EP被推到了iTunes排行榜的第一名。根据当时在Myspace的个人主页上的调查，有25万人表示自己倾听过”Plastic Surgery Slumber Party“这支EP。有两支歌没有发布在“Plastic Surgery Slumber Party”这支EP里，分别是”Louis Vuitton“、”Don't Cha (Sex Change Remix)“。
2009年Jeffree发布了他的第一张录音室唱片Beauty Killer，被allmusic 的评论家 Pemberton Roach 盛赞为一张有趣而没有冗余花边伴舞的唱片以及一 份直率而不虚伪却有着调皮罪恶感般享受的唱片。
Jeffree还与一些其他的音乐人合作过，包括Deuce(singer)，Millionaires(group)，Nicki Minaj，Acey Schwimmer、IT BOYS、Porcelain Black和Larry Tee。
